Named the “Particles by XO“, the new sub-brand will have a pair of TWS earbuds that support LHDC codec and active noise cancellation. Leaked renders reveal the buds’ design to that of peanuts and are codenamed B154.
Nothing’s Particles by XO
The hype that Nothing created for the launch of its first-ever phone – Nothing Phone 1, is commendable. And now, the company is gearing up for a similar craze with a potential new sub-brand. As spotted by 91mobiles‘ Kuba Wojciechowski in Nothing’s latest firmware, there’s evidence for the new earbuds under a brand name called “Particles by XO”. More linking proofs include the internal codename for this item, “B154″, where Nothing used B155 for its upcoming Ear 2 headphones.
— Kuba Wojciechowski⚡ (@Za_Raczke) December 17, 2022 Further, the US Patent and Trademark Office on Saturday gave a shell company called “The Unknown LLC” the trademark for “Particles by XO.” This is a usual practice by tech giants who do not reveal their product developments until finished. Well, the design of this product look similar to a peanut or a molecular chain, seemingly the combination of traits from both Nothing Ear 1 and Ear Stick wireless buds. Well, it’s also said to be supporting LHDC codec support and active noise cancelation. While this seemed really unnecessary – considering that Nothing currently has only three products – it just could be a new marketing tactic to spur interest in the community, similar to what Nothing Phone 1 had in a mid-this year.
