The Chinese contender has just unveiled the Mi 10 series, which consists of regular Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro. Both are perfect alternatives for Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, as Mi 10 retails for the same specs with cheaper price. Here’s what they got;
Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro Specifications
Both the phones have a 6.67″ (1080×2340p) OLED display with a punch-hole display design. While this is for housing the front camera, the display supports HDR10+ and has a refresh rate of 90Hz. It’s Gorilla Glass 5 protected and 180Hz touch-sensing. It’s wondering that there’s no IP rating mentioned of this flagship. Moving to the camera department, the high-end model got a quad-rear camera as 108MP (f/1.7) primary sensor, an 8MP (f/2.0) telephoto lens, a 12MP (f/2.0) portrait one and a 20MP (f/2.2) ultrawide angular. On the other hand, the regular model has the same primary sensor of 108MP lens, added to a 13MP (f/2.4) ultrawide lens, a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor, and a 2MP (f/2.4) macro lens. The company claims the grand 108MP is capable of recording 8K images, which is a real flagship feature. Both share the same 20MP (f/2.0) front sensor housed in the punch-hole of the top left corner. They do run on Android 10 with MIUI 11 bloatware, or probably MIUI 12. Both the handsets are powered by Snapdragon’s latest chipset, 865 CPU coupled with Adreno 650 GPU. Further, you may choose between 8GB or 12GB RAM with 128GB or 256GB UFS 3.0 storage. It has the fingerprint sensor embedded under the display and has all the connectivity sensors required. Finally, the Pro version has a 4500mAh battery with 50W fast charging support, and the regular Mi 10 has a 4780mAh battery with 30W fast charging support. Both have a 30W wireless charging with 5W reverse wireless charging support. They come in different colors depending on the area.
Price and Availability
Though launched now, these may be entering markets later than expected dates due to uncertainty caused by Coronavirus. After hearing all this, you may think a phone couldn’t be any better, but that could be changed after testing. There are phones which seemed pretty on paper but didn’t live up to expectations. Though Xiaomi didn’t have that past, it’s good you wait until it’s tested before pouring your money in.
